Nyle has been my favorite contestant on Dancing With the Stars since Season 22 first kicked off a few weeks ago, but this past week he really amazed me! He has been deaf since birth but has not let that hold him back at all. In 2012, he took the entire year to travel the world without his interpreter. I am so thrilled that he took that leap and went off just because he could, so he could see who he really was. Travel- especially solo travel- really exposes you to all sorts of different experiences that can change who you are and let you understand more about yourself. He's killing it on DWTS so far, and I'm so excited to see what he does next. (Also shout-out to the Argentine Tango dance style- my fave). Go Peta and Nyle!

Kelley Abbey choreographs many So You Think You Can Dance Australia routines. She created my all-time favorite finale, combining a wide range of styles including ballet and Latin with Asian influences. It's hot, sexy, fun, and totally representative of Abbey's showgirl style. I can watch this routine over and over again! She recreated the routine on the American version of the show, but it wasn't as good. Here is the Australian version below: Abbey's website is here if you want to learn more about her. She's famous for doing a lot of Fame choreography. Below are a few more routines by Abbey that are also really fun: ~burn bright~

About
Dance is such a beautiful way to express yourself. It can tell emotional stories and is incredibly cathartic. I danced a little as a child: jazz and rhythmic gymnastics. In college, I began to explore hip hop and Latin styles. I just love everything about dance and continue to find inspiration in it every day. I will share some of my own choreography here, as well as some dance travel videos I have made. You will also find links to YouTube dances that hopefully you enjoy as much as I do! Archives
